I've long been obsessed with the toxic plume of guitar at the end of This Heat's "The Fall Of Saigon". I have little aptitude/patience for the guitar beyond some instinctive scrawl but attempted to play to the same effect honouring Charles who is one of a small handful of legitimate musical touchstones.

The Sails is a sonic journey that takes the listener from the familiar to the alien and keeps your foot tapping the whole way. Rhythm is driven by layers of bass, synths and samples often without a drum track.
